En studie utfördes nyligen på 18 patienter som behandlades med kemoterapi samtidigt som de fick akupunktur. Studien visade att behandling med akupunktur (1 session per vecka under sex veckors tid) förbättrade symtomen hos så många som 82 procent av patienterna.
Vid denna form av behandling används följande akupunkturpunkter: SP-6, ST-36, och LR-3.
